The Magnificent Mile tulip was initially introduced last year through a partnership with theConsulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It symbolizes the powerful connection between Dutch horticultural excellence and Chicago’s deep-rooted gardening tradition. That partnership blooms again in 2025, as thousands of Magnificent Mile Tulips stretch from theChicago River to Oak Street.. The tulips are incredibly beautiful from bloom to final flourish. We partnered with The Magnificent Mile Association to plant the tulips at 625 N. Michigan Avenue. The tulip was officially baptized with champagne by the Consul General of The Kingdom of The Netherlands on April 17, 2024. Stop by The Magnificent Mile and see our beautiful work!

A Guide to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile
The sculpture of the Official Magnificent Mile Tulip is highlighted at 625 N. Michigan Avenue. A vibrant yellow with orange highlights was developed specially for the Magnificent Mile stretch down Michigan Avenue. This Chicago classic was adapted to withstand the unique climate of Chicago’s windy streets, enduring the spring weather. Bulbs for these tulips are available for purchase through.. The tulips on Michigan Avenue are designed to be vivid swaths of color that herald spring with a ‘bang.’ No pastels – this city needs something bold after its winters! The varieties are also selected to provide consistent blooms throughout the growing season with some opening early, others mid-season, and the late-bloomers finishing the show.
